Thank you so much for taking the time to answer the survey I sent out a few days ago! I appreciate your input and am looking forward to implementing your ideas! Last week, I also sent out my 4-week coaching program, How To Get Paid Simply For Who You Are, and it sold out! I only like working with one small group of people at a time so I can give my full attention to each and every entrepreneur, so I will let you know when space opens up again. I am so excited to announce that I will be live each and every Saturday night at 10 PM EST for 30 powerful and life-changing minutes- starting Saturday, September 28, 2013. Coming soon, a video with more details on whom these Saturday night calls are for. Look out for it in your inbox! You don't have a money problem you have an idea problem. ~Dr. Mike Murdock Money is simply a tool used in exchange for a service or product. Every single thing that was created here on Earth was created to solve a problem. There is a solution to someone's problem inside of you. When you tap in to the problem that you were created to solve, you can then choose the money value that's worth exchanging for your solution. The way in which a solution to a problem will come to you is through an idea. An idea is simply: For example: Imagine you are really good at doing hair and you work at a job that you hate. You would love to do hair for a living, but you're constantly saying, "I don't have the money to do it." Also, each and every weekend you are going out with "your girls" partying and spending money on drinks, food, clothes, shoes, oh yeah, and more shoes 'cause you know you gotta killem right?! So many people spend money on themselves to impress people that they don't even like and who do not like them either. Well, there is your money. Be willing to make the shift. Stop trying to avoid being alone on the weekends. You have to break away from the crowd in order to live your dreams on a daily basis. So now that you see that you do have the money, here's 3 things you can do to start your business rolling: First, set up shop in your house. "In my house, Angel?" Yes! You have to start somewhere and if that's what you have right now, start there. I did. Before I opened up my boutique, it was in my bedroom. Now, you do want to be safe about this. You don't want to post adds with your home address on them, but you can start by spreading the word to all the people that you currently know (and that you're probably already doing their hair now, but you're doing it at low or no-cost). Begin using the money that you're saving from not going out each and every weekend and start buying things that you are going to need to make your money! Second, set up a blog, website and social media page for your new business! Take yourself and your business seriously! This is your brand. If you want others to buy what you're selling you have to set up a way for that to happen. You can have a vision board, affirmation cards and post-it notes hanging all over your house, but if you don't have anything real set up, you're setting yourself up to fail... And third, market your butt off! You can be the best hair-stylist in the world, but if people don't know who you are and what you can do for them you will remain the world's biggest best kept secret. This goes back to the second step. You have to put yourself out there in a big way and technology affords us a way to do this like never before. Most of the things we can do today to market to tons of people through technology are free, like Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn, Instagram and many others. Even better, not only are they free to use, but they allow you to reach people all over the world too.
So what are you going to do? Are you going to continue to be the world's best kept secret or are you going to figure out the problem you were created to solve, set up your online presence and market your butt off?! I hope you choose the latter, because the world is literally waiting on you! Write down your gifts and talents and brainstorm around them. What could be the best way to capitalize on what you have to offer? I want to hear from you. If you have an idea that you have been sitting on and you're felling stuck about how to get started, let me know in the comments below. I would love to help you get on track to building your successful business!
