How to Start Your Own Business With Your Smartphone

We live in a day and age where you can earn money right from the comfort of your own home. From selling things on eBay, Craig's List or Etsy, just to name a few. You can take a picture of a piece of jewelry you made and post it to your social media sites right now and sell it! In fact, if you have a smart phone, you have a ready-made business!  If you have a great idea, service or product, then you can start your own business right from your smart phone.

Most people have one job and at least 3-5 bills that need to be paid from that one paycheck. Now, I'm not a Math teacher, but that just doesn't add up. That is the recipe for living paycheck-to-paycheck. I do not believe that we were created simply to work a job we don't like just so we can struggle through life. God has given us many different passions, gifts and talents. It is my intention in this blog to help you put a price tag on them! I believe to be truly successful, on the inside and on the outside, is to discover what you are good at and do it.  
 

1. What are you passionate about? What do you love to do?

Write a list of at least three things that you are passionate about and would love to do full time and earn money from doing it? If it is difficult for you to identify what you're good at, try asking some of your closest friends to weigh in. Ask them what they see in you that you do really well. Also, think about the people you admire. What do they do? Who is it that you look up to and find yourself saying, "I can do that!"? Grab a stack of your favorite magazines and create a vision board just for your business! Using the visuals will get you excited and help you to see your business in 3-D! Ideas will begin to flow like a river. While going through your magazines, also think about how you want your brand, company, and website to both look and feel. 

2. Make it a real business.
After you are clear on what business you want to start, search through www.legalzoom.com; they are a great website for all things legal when it comes to your business. When you take your business seriously, it will take you seriously, and so will other people who will want to do business with you. 

3. Go social!

Simply type in your chosen brand name, for example, “DanielTheProofreader”, and it’ll check to see if all of the social media profiles are available for you to register. After you get your name for your new business secure, go social with it! Think about the social media sites that are available to you today. Which ones excite you the most? If you do not like to be in front of the camera, YouTube may not be your ideal platform. However, if you love to write, blogging may be your sweet spot. Make a list of all the social media sites that you would like to use to promote your business. Download the apps onto your smart phone of the sites that you are going to use for your business and start posting! Start posting about your business, give tips, inspiration and share promotions and campaigns using your favorite social media sites. All directly from your smartphone!

4. Receive your money, honey! 
In order to make money from the internet you will have to set up a portal to receive money for your product or service. PayPal is a great payment system for entrepreneurs.
