Do you ever feel the way this woman looks while you’re at work? Tired? Frustrated? Simply not fulfilled? I've been there... I used to work at a company called Page Net back in the 90's when pagers were the latest communication device. Do you remember those? Wow...! Anyway, I used to work as the “file girl”. The company had a filing room with all their clients’ information, and every time someone needed a file I had to check it out for them. Then when they returned it, I had to log the file back in. I remember one day being so sad about working there, about it being the place I felt I had to be in order to provide for my family. I went to the back of the filing room, sat down on a little stepping ladder and cried my eyes out like a baby. I couldn't take it...

I hated the set “lunch time” and so many other things about being an employee. I only lasted there two days! The first day on the job, I thought our lunch break was only 30 minutes. I found out the next day while talking to a co-worker that our lunch was an hour, twice as long, and I couldn't believe it! The day before I had been sitting in the McDonald's drive-through line feeling so rushed and anxious to get back to work “on time” that I got out of line and came back to the job on an empty stomach. I grabbed a donut and completed the rest of my day. So when I found out all that stress had been for nothing, I walked off of the job, got into my car and drove my sad butt home.

I didn't know what I was going to do for work, but I knew it wasn't going to be that!

After making the decision to leave Page Net and become a stay-at-home mom, all of my creativity began to rush in like a crashing wave! I couldn't keep up with the ideas that were filling my head. When God says He will pour you out a blessing you won't have room enough to receive, believe it. (Malachi 3:10) Many of us think about material things when we read that scripture. God give us our needs through seeds. Our seeds are the ideas that He drops into our spirit. It's up to us to take the action that's going to water those seeds and make them grow. Then and only then will we see the manifestation of our dreams. So while you're sitting at your job thinking of what you'd really like to be doing with your life, but still thinking it's impossible, it starts to depress you since you don't see how it's going to happen. Know that it's not our job to figure out how it will all come to pass, our only job is to simply believe that it will!

So here are the 7 signs it's time for you to leave your job and start your own business. And, bonus, I'm also going to share with you some tips on how to get started!

SIGN #1 You hit your alarm clock at least twice every morning.
SIGN #2 You have to prepare yourself mentally before you go into your job to deal with all those people you know don't like you.
SIGN #3 While you're at work, you check your Facebook, upload pictures of yourself in your cubicle making funny faces, check out the latest news on your favorite blogs... (I know you're at work reading this right now!) :)
SIGN #4 You wish you had more money so you could pay all your bills and still have more than enough left over to give some, save some, and spend some.
SIGN #5 You think about starting your own business doing ____________________________.
SIGN #6 You often think to yourself, "what if I fail?"
SIGN #7 Finally, you spend all day online following other people who are living their dreams! That could be YOU, too!

As promised, I told you I would share some of my tips on how to get started. Click HERE to learn 7 Things You Should Do Before You Start Your Own Business

#1 YES! LoL I have 2 alarms set up instead of snoozing one.
#2 I do this but it's more for pepping myself to be confident and positive so we can have a good day. I'm fortunate to have co-workers that get along well.
#3 Not so much, usually only during break.
#4 Don't we all?
#5 Yes, my current job is far from what I've studied in college (Art), and I always wanted a job closer to what I've studied.
#6 Not at my current job but my job before I kept thinking that.
#7 YES! Every single day.

I've been at my current job (housekeeping at a hotel) for a year now and I've gotten to the point where I have to move on and find something else. Don't get me wrong, my managers think I'm one of the best housekeepers they have but I feel that I'm too "over qualified" for this job and it's not utilizing my talents and skills. Not to mention that the schedule and pay is so-so as well. I've been looking for other jobs, esp. art-related but it's been frustrating so far, but I'm not giving up!

I'm so happy to have found you on Youtube. I love your acronyms, it makes it so much easier to remember your advice. So far, I've learned VISION, CONFIDENCE, and now BUSINESS. Thank you Angel for all you do!
