3 Powerful Things Videos Do for Your Business

If you have a business in 2015 and you are not using videos to market yourself, your product, or your services, you are missing out on serving a lot of people via your business and a lot of cash! When was the last time you were on any social networking site and you did not see a video in your news feed? It's probably been since 2005 when YouTube was born. Now, in 2015, there is more than YouTube to allow you to record and upload video content. There is Vemo, Periscope, Facebook, Instagram, and so many others now to make that job easier for you today.


Are you too shy or afraid to get in front of the camera? I understand. I used to be too. There is no "secret" to getting over it except the fact that you simply have to get over yourself. I say that in the nicest way. Your gifts and talents are not just for or about you. You have a message to share with the the world and the time is now for you to get started.

Here are three incredibly powerful things that happen when you use videos as a source of getting your message out into the world. 

1. You help people even when you are asleep.

Using video allows people to watch your content and connect with you no matter what you are doing. You could be sleeping, eating, or partying – regardless, you are always in position to help someone else through your videos. When you give people valuable content through videos, they will keep coming back to you and may even share them with their friends who they believe would like your content as well. It never ceases to amaze me when I get comments like this under my videos. Who knows what I was doing when she was benefiting off of my videos!

2. You help people make an easy buying decision.
People do business with people they know, like, and trust. What better way for people to get to know you than actually seeing you talking and in action with whatever it is that you do? When people talk, you form a connection with them that you can't through just writing or audio. Can you imagine how effective The Oprah Winfrey Show would have been if it was just through a podcast or radio? I am not saying that writing and audio aren't powerful because they are. However, you know your point is getting more across when you actually see people sharing the message when it involves more of your senses. 

3. It's the way the business world is moving.
Don't get left behind doing business the old way by not sharing your content via video. An estimated 4 billion people watch YouTube videos per day. 4 billion! There are an estimated 7 billion people on the planet and more than half of them are watching videos! Need I say anymore?
