I am often asked the question, "How do you stay motivated?". Let's just be clear - I don't know anyone who stays motivated other than Floyd Mayweather! Losing your motivation and mojo is not a "bad" thing like some people label it to be. Instead, it's a clear indication that it's time to stir things up. Don't sit on the fence in your life when you know you were meant to play in the field!
Here are my top 11 ways to get your mojo back!
1. Have an orgasm.
When you have intercourse with your husband or wife it should energize and rejuvenate you. Notice that I said have an orgasm, not just have sex. If you are not married, you can still have the big O! I like to use a method I call- 'Masturbation for Manifestation'. Yes, I believe we can literally manifest our dreams through focused orgasms. (Maybe I will teach a class on this topic!)
2. Do your makeup.
Often times when we lose our mojo we find it difficult to actually get all dolled up. Do it anyway. You know it works because you've done it before, and it's now time to do it again if you've lost your mojo and motivation. Pull up one of your favorite beauty YouTubers and try a new look or simply throw on some glossy lipstick. Something as simple as pretty lips can help stimulate you.
3. Take a friend out for coffee.
It can be so easy to text or talk to a friend over the phone, -however when you actually go to meet and talk face-to-face it brings a different element of energy to your life and relationships. Meeting over coffee is great because it doesn't take up a lot of your time.
4. Rearrange a room in your home.
When you change the atmosphere in which you reside, it can often help you become more energized. Literally, because you are shifting the physical energy in the room by moving the furniture. It can become redundant if you don't and give you an overwhelming sense of normalcy. Shake things up a bit in your living space. Being a stay-at-home mom and a work-from-home woman, I am home A LOT, -so I rearrange a lot too. However, this isn't something that I just started doing since being an adult and living on my own. I was that girl who always loved to rearrange her bedroom and decorate. It got to the point where my mother
would just shake her head at me and laugh each time she came into my room because it was decorated differently weekly! It works every time!
Meditation allows you to go within. You are able to eliminate all outside distractions and focus on your inner voice, -which is your spirit. That is where you will find most of the answers to your prayers. I believe that prayer is talking to God and meditation is hearing from Him. Quieten your life so you can hear what's really important.
6. Scroll through Pinterest.
Pinterest is one of my favorite visually stimulating sites on the web. On most Saturday mornings you can catch me on my couch drinking a hot coffee and getting lost in Pinterest world. If Pinterest doesn't help you get your mojo back, you're further gone than I can help you with at this point! Ha!
7. Get back to your hobbies.
I absolutely love to crochet. Crocheting was once a hobby for me that I eventually turned into a business. Do something that you enjoy doing. Schedule time for your hobbies and make them important to you. Studies have shown that people who engage in their hobbies often tend to be happier. 8. Sit by water.
Do you have a nearby lake or body of water? Something really creative becomes activated inside of me when I am near water. Creative ideas rush in like the stream I am near. It doesn't even have to be a body of water like an ocean, lake, etc. -it happens even when I'm in the shower. I wanted to know why this happened -because I have heard so many other people say the same thing, -so I Googled it (of course). You can too if you want to read more on the studies that have been done on this topic.
9. Go shopping.
You may not have the cash right now to go to the mall and ball all the way outta control, however you do have your imagination. Do you remember when you were a kid and you would point out everything you wanted and say, "that's mine!", or "I want that"? That is the same kind of faith you need to use at the mall while you are dream shopping. Go there and point out the things that you want! This will build your faith. If you do have the money to purchase the things you want and you have not because you put yourself last and think about what everyone else's wants and needs are, take a couple thousand dollars out of the bank and shop for yourself!
10. Date yourself.
Take yourself out to a fancy restaurant and dine alone. Even if you are married, date yourself. The most important relationship you have is the one you have with yourself. Love and treat yourself they way you want to be loved and treated, and others will follow.
11. Repeat number 1!
